One of Mission Control's most sweeping loyalty and passbook prototype programmes was developed for The Financial Times in association with Eurostar. Dubbed the Eurostar 'Passbook Programme' the Mission Control team developed an end-to-end solution using in-app alerts, Apple Wallet integration, and ongoing loyalty points and scheme management to present users with location-aware Eurostar bonus benefits to ongoing members. Many of these included free passes to Eurostar lounges, FT offers and more.

Working with the Financial Times' Advanced Innovation team, the FT/Eurostar programme spawned a number of additional loyalty/advertisement focused innovations between The Financial Times and Mission Control and we continue to collaborate on new technologies, prototypes and opportunities.

“Pearson Technology and the Financial Times worked with the Mission Control Team on a pilot programme for Apple’s location-based Passbook and Wallet service. From initial workshops through to a fully working end-to-end prototype, the programme allowed us to truly visualise the potential of the new service.”

— Kayode Josiah, Head of Commercial Development, Financial Times
